i bought the "cylon face" boxed set a month or so back. borders has 'em for half of what they used to be (like $54 or so, rather than the original $119), then applied a discount even on top of that.

oh, and even without that, i'd taped most of them off of a recent (probably 2 years ago...geeze, i almost typed yarns and not just 'cause of galactica as cyd's knitting right now) sci-fi marathon.

i'm a geek.

we'd just seen the 3-part "Cain/Pegasus" story from the new Galactica (2.0/2.5) and i wanted to show her the original version of the same.

That is my favourite of the old series. The new version isn't bad and it was nice to see Michelle Forbes again, but Lloyd has been my hero since the days of Sea Hunt. Did you know that he was the first choice for Captain of the Enterprise?

Agreed, that's a good one too.
I'm rather chagrined to admit that I wish the new Baltar would meet the same, exactly the same, fate as the orginal (James Colicos of blessed Klingon memory) did in the theatrical release.

gotta remember, we're only *just* getting into "2.5" so we have NO idea what actually happens in this occupied new caprica stuff from later on and season 3. we'll get there eventually.
