so i'm in the northern suburbs of Atlanta, quite possibly the most wired place in the country. EVERYBODY has a wireless tap, usually free.
not only does the pub i'm in have XM playing (top tracks 46), but the avis shuttle at the airport also was XM-playing.
would that fairfax was so hip...
BTW the pub has Holy (Gr)ale on tap. yummmmmm...

I lived closer to the Roswell side of the county, so I'm not that familiar with Kennesaw.

The difference between here and where you and I are? When "liberals" move into places like Loudoun where a culture war could brew, comparable to IT/high-tech liberals moving to Cobb, they VOTE. Loudoun has successfully kicked out the far-right-wing dumbasses of discrimination and ignorance.
By contrast, the techies that move into Cobb DON'T vote; they're not of the D.C. culture where votes really matter and the apathy is pretty high. As such, Cobb can still get boards of education or county governments that will do stupid right-wing "culture-war" stuff in spite of the fact that they don't really represent what the majority here might feel.
