Leave one memory of you and me together. It doesn't matter if I know you a little or a lot, anything you remember! Next (if you want), post this in your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you.
Actually, quite aside from anything about school, I remember you dropping me an email to tell me that Big Country was on tour. I hadn't heard from you in a really long time, and I thought it was immensely kind of you to make certain that I knew.
(BC is on my mind this morning, as the iPod gave me 5 or 6 of their songs on the commute of doom. I listen to them very seldom since Stuart Adamson killed himself...)
i've no problem still listening to 'em. in particular, i was collecting their live releases (as i do for most bands i like, incl Marillion & Fish, Steve Hackett, and King Crimson) and dvds up until they stopped and instead were hashing out "the makings of" rarities (i can live without those).
gretchen and i went to that BC show, 12 years ago this coming halloween (damn i'm getting old). it was great, even though the material mostly highlighted "Buffalo Skinners" (hey, when the label pays for the tour, you do what you have to).
come to think of it, I just saw gretchen a few weeks ago at the Old Blind Dogs show in vienna.
Well, I don't WANT to have a problem listening to them; it's just too depressing. NMA is now occupying that slot in my brain (let's not ponder how BC and NMA ended up in the same musical spot. Other than some years doing celtic/folk influences, there's not really any comparison).
Shut up about the getting old thing, huh? We're pretty much peers, and I'm having trouble with the age thing. ;)
