BBC Worldwide has announced that Region-1 / NTSC dvds of the first new Dr. Who season, starting Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper, will be released in February, 2006.
Drawback? It's officially released to Canada, so whether or not it actually shows up in stores in America or we have to get it as an import remains to be seen.

"room" is relative -- the average person, on the other hand, can't afford to not be able to buy a dr. who simply because they'd have to pay for 26 at once. i doubt dr. who is going to get the "cheap single-season blocks" releases that tv shows get. low-budget stereotypes aside, the old dr. who is expensive compared to "dukes of hazzard".
