gas update
Sep. 1st, 2005 09:29 amPost in your blog a specific example that you have seen (as opposed to having read or heard from someone else) of a rediculous price-jump in gasoline this week.
Yesterday's observation of the 0.21 was tame. The worst is one that was read on the air yesterday (it was so rediculous I had to drive by today to confirm). The "U.S. Petroleum" station at Church and Holly in Sterling jumped from $2.65 to $3.55!!! Yes, 0.90 in a matter of hours.
The rediculous part is that the 7-11/Citgo next to it is still at $2.79!
The other large jump I saw was the Blimpie/BP (serving Amoco) on the south end of town. It went from $2.75 to $3.21 (a mere 0.46 up).
