acroyearAlistare Cooke's America, the great PBS series from the early 1970s, is only available as a Region-2/PAL dvd in England. There is no American (Region-1/NTSC) release, and appearantly no plans to make one, in spite of multiple on-line petitions to do so.
Also available in England already is the 2-disc special edition for Pocahontas, though I know that the American release will be coming soon so I'm not likely to pick that up. (On the other hand, the Brits haven't yet had a release of Dumbo on DVD, nor of Pirates of the Caribbean. go fig)
