The same time that Fox News "accidentally" (well, I haven't seen an official statement yet) labeled Foley as "D-FL" (translation: Democrat) on three separate occasions throughout the day yesterday, Coulter publishes her column where she pulls the predictable "hypocricy" card by directly comparing Foley to Stubbs and naturally enough omitting a few facts in order to say 1) how the Democrats were worse in handling that (truth: the Democrats never tried a direct cover up - they simply did what their authority allowed them to do, a censure, and expected the voters to make their own judgements, which after 5 re-elections, they obviously did - not that Coulter gives a shit about real democracy or anything), and 2) by doing such a comparison, while bringing out Foley's revealed homosexuality, openly calling him a "closet Democrat".

This means, of course, that if you google for "Fox Foley Democrat", 4 of the first 12 links are to copies of her column syndicated in news sites across the country, thus bringing in advertising revenue for the added eyeballs.

Not that I really think there was a conspiracy here, because nobody's THAT smart on that channel.

AiG and a few other right-wing nutcases, like one of the fathers of a Columbine victim, have all come forward (the father on CBS Evening News) and decided to blame evolution education as the main culprit behind all of the recent school attacks.  Well, once again, the evidence is against them...

Red State Rabble: PA Gunman Was Home-schooled Christian:
In fact, Answers in Genesis, which believes the Bible "provides a reliable, eye-witness account of the beginning of all things" asserts that the "evils in society can be linked with the teaching of the theory of evolution."

New research, they add, "has confirmed what Bible-believers have known all along—that the rising acceptance of Darwin’s theory is related to declining morality in the community."

In fact, according to Answers in Genesis, the school shootings in rural Pennsylvania, Dawson College, and Columbine are the utterly predictable consequences of a belief in evolution that "reduces human beings from being made in the image of God to mere players in the game of survival of the fittest."

How then to explain that the Pennsylvania gunman was a home-schooled Christian?

Thanks to reader BC for the tip.

...to American Top 40.

They're playing "classic songs that have been disco-fied", including Stairway to Heaven (yuck yuck yuck), Beethoven's 5th (A Fifth of Beethoven, featured on the SNF soundtrack, and yuck), Ethel Merman doing a disco version of Show Business, and a disco cover of the I Love Lucy theme music, all as a lead in to the more contemporary (to the 1988 AT 40 on right now) "disco" remake of Always on my Mind by the Pet Shop Boys.

yuck.
