Abortion?: don't like it, but its not my place (or the govs) to interfere.
Death Penalty?: it should hurt more. if there's no pain, there's no deterent. bring back the chair, or hangings. or at least don't f'in' sterilize the needle for no reason...
Prostitution?: why can't you sell what you can give away?
Alcohol?: drinking some now. not driving anywhere.
Marijuana?: legalize and have quality control like the tobaccos have to face.
Other drugs?: well, that's pushing it. most people can't handle them; i hate that few who can should be deprived.
Gay marriage?: more power to 'em. no minority should have more, or fewer, rights than I do (yeah, i'm in the "majority" in most classifications).
Illegal immigrants?: make legal immigration easier; they're doing jobs we don't want to do anymore.
Smoking?: not around me. but the absolute no-smoking indoors laws have to stop; businesses are suffering.
Drunk driving?: you can't stop it in others. at least stop it in yourself.
Cloning?: it'll happen, with or without our help. if the u.s. wants to stay ahead, scientifically, it needs to stop letting arbitrary 2-4 thousand year old religious attitudes (well, mostly 900 year old attitudes) interfere in the process.
Racism?: wish it could stop. wish i could be more aware when i slip into an "archie bunker" mode myself. it happens. i try harder later.
Premarital sex?: did it. not going to do it again.
Religion?: Episcopalian for myself. don't think just the "big three should count. don't think it should have nearly the influence on government that it does. oh, and tax them.
The war in Iraq?: unjust. brought about through a solid campaign of lies and deceptions. the next viet nam; we're never going to leave, and if we do, the civil war will start within days.
Bush?: didn't vote for him. won't do it later either. he's got to go.
Downloading music?: 44/128 mp3s aren't good enough to be my "only" copy of the music i like. if i like it, i'll buy the cd. if i don't, i ditch the mp3. won't buy from iTunes 'cause they have nothing i need or want.
The legal drinking age?: the english system rules. 18, with your parents able to buy for you at 14, provided you eat, and they witness it. in other words, your parents TEACH you to DRINK RESPONSIBLY from the beginning. this absolute 21 only thing means their first drinks (legally) can't ever be witnessed by me as the parent.
Porn?: can't stop it. shouldn't try. pirate porn is fun to watch in a group of like-minded weirdos.
Suicide?: unless its for medical reasons (perpetual pain and all that), you really should look at the alternatives that always are there. open your mind.
