Most of those styles have been pretty standard fetishwear for a long time now. Do a search on ebay for "ballet boots". I'd seen the ponyplay ones before too. I'm sure the designer is making a fortune.

Back in 2002, a couple came through MDRF and the female of the couple was wearing the fourth pair, with the horseshoe bottoms (among other things). Security caught up to them and told them to change or go home.

On one of the morning shows they were showing off some heal-less high heals. The host was trying them on and had a tough time standing.

i saw that on CBS. they were inverse-looking high-no-heeled shoes. hard to describe, impossible to imagine. ridiculous to contemplate ever owning a pair.

i agree with the commenters on that other website. basically "japanese rage" my ass. i don't think it's the "street rage" anywhere. the ballet toe-shoe shoes are the only ones that could actually pass for shoes, but even dancers will tell you that you can't actually walk in toe shoes. (heel or no heel.)

but then... i don't think those sorts of shoes are meant for ... walking.

If you check youtube, there's a bunch of videos of women who wear the ballet boots all over the place (to the mall, etc.) I saw a whole bunch of them when I was researching my thesis.

i just know from friends about the damage that toe shoes can do. i can't imagine the damage long-term wear of these things are going to do to these women's feet.

but then, i'm too practical (or boring) for wearing regular high heels in the first place. *g*

I hear ya. I dislike wearing heels myself (despite the icon, which was taken just before I presented my thesis. I took the shoes off immediately following.)

Hmm, your comments regarding your thesis and shoes have me wondering what the topic was? Sounds like something I would be interested in reading actually!

It's not so much reading, as seeing. The research document (all 229 pages) is really kind of dry(it's pretty straight ahead academic research). However the project itself is on the web. Funny, since yesterday (May 12) was the presentation anniversary (two years ago.)

Introductory movie can be seen here (http://www.bronxelf.com/fit/thesis%20research/movies/TriskelionMainQT.mov).
.ppt file and the fonts- you need to install the fonts- and the .pdf book are here. (http://www.bronxelf.com/fit/thesis%20research/presentationdocs/)

Cool, Thanks! I'll check out when I have some more time (like at work, heh heh :)

Those are very foot-fetish-y items ... and it's not the first time I've seen the heels. The platform wedge thing, though, looks *very* dangerous.

Pop!
