Possibly good news from RPFS site...
On the Today show, Al Roker was reporting in from the Glen Helen fire HQ, which according to other posters is on the park site of the Glen Helen pavilion (formerly Blockbuster, now Hundai I think), which is also the site of RPFS. So if they haven't had to evac yet, then the site appears to be ok so far.
Updated, 12:00 EST (9:00 PST): The MSNBC reporter is still at the same Glen Helen site (even without the faire site on screen, its easy to pick out because its got the only green grass for miles in that valley), so things may still be ok over there.

I am Faire Folk as well, Frieda's Costume Assistant for the past couple of years, but currently slaving away in Dinsey World. I have been very concerned about site, especially since they just permenantly downed RPFN!
And I have spent the last hour scouring the net for any news about site, my relatives in So Cal have heard conflicting reports about the Glen Helen area. So thanks a million for your LJ report!
