Calif. County Bans Tattoos for Employees - Yahoo! News:
"We're not trying to limit anyone's freedom of expression," said Mark Uffer, county administrative officer. "Some people may find tattoos objectionable."

uh, dude, that's precisely what freedom of expression is!  I can express myself, you can object, and both sides should be happy with their freedom.  Get used to it.

dumb shit...

Now is this on VISABLE tattoos? I'd be surprised if they are checking people in the gent's & ladies to see if they do indeed have a 'W' on each cheek.

Good point. The military has had a uniform code for quite some time about *visible* tattoos. They don't much care about the ones that don't show.

Many companies have policies about no visable ink (as in neck, face, forearms; legs are usualy ok, since slacks would cover them & that would be unfair to those who wore skirts).

I can understand more why facial piercings would be banned. Most workplaces today outside of Hot Topic & Tattoo Shops ban most facial piercings that are not religous in nature.
