there's never a right answer for some people...

Swine flu: the overreaction overreaction : Effect Measure:
The irony is that the overreaction backlash will be more severe the more successful the public health measures are. If, for example, the virus peters out this spring because transmission was interrupted long enough for environmental conditions (whatever they are) to tip the balance against viral spread, CDC and local health officials will be accused of over reacting. It's another example of the adage, "When public health works, nothing happens." On the other hand, if local officials do nothing and things get worse, they will be accused of being slow.

sigh...no AT40 for me for some time to come...

the next 5 sundays including today are all busy, between vacation and morris gigs.

still, we'll come back into June with enough time to have lapsed from the April ones that we'll have all new old songs to talk about!

i don't care one way or the other

if college uses the current BCS or some tournament system that takes another 3 months to play out.

but it is not congress's business to do a damn thing about it. unless they plan on legalising all of the gambling that goes on (and collect taxes), then it isn't their concern under ANY part of article 1 to say or do a damn thing.

these hearings are a waste of YOUR tax dollars. go write and tell them to knock it off and go back to dealing important crap.

meanwhile I want the next right-wing airbag who calls anything he doesn't like 'communism' or 'socialism' to spend a year in Siberia to remember what REAL communism was like.
