questions i can't post on FB without opening a s*storm #27,385

Why are the conservatives so happy about passing on this NYTimes thingy that Iraq may have actually had chemical weapons, when it would be their administration's pentagon that suppressed that information in the first place? If GWB, Inc. really wanted to save face in light of the lack of evidence for WMDs, why didn't they come forward with this 5-10 years ago?

No I don't want answers to why GWB etc did nothing about this (if it is even true), I want answers to why Conservatives are so gloatful and completely missing the hypocrisy of their own administration throughout this entire time frame.

In other words, the great unanswerable question.

Hence, I'm not bothering to post this on FB.

Easy, they are going to find a way to blame it on Obama and justify the War in Iraq and the War on Terror and try to get themselves elected. They are counting on people not bringing up the "suppression by GWB" but focus on the "GWB was right, there was stuff there and it has been hidden for 5 years by the evil Obama administration"

That is my guess.

Prefacing with I used to be a young republican.

Focus on the *used*

I helped campaign for Don Nickles (OK Senator - minority whip under Clinton) and yes even Reagan.

However even since then (1980) I've noticed a more Us against Them mentality with the GOP. I remember Rush Limbaugh hoping that "Obama would fail". Why? Why not hope that America would succeed?

just my two pence worth.
