*sigh* -- my inability to be skeptical of Doonesbury continues...
I want to be skeptical, I really do. I want to be able to say, "yeah, well that was a joke, there's really nothing behind it".
But once again, I can't.
Back in the mid 70s, Trudeau had "Duke" become governor of Samoa. His native assistant there was named MacArthur, pointing out that many of his generation were named after the great general who liberated them, including his sister, "Doug".
I wrote that off as a joke. I really did.
Until today. CNN just had an interview with a family hiding out in caves in Iraq (not sure if they were Iraqi or Kurdish), and one family said that if they lived through this and had a second son, they would name him George Bush.
